The Associated Press: The chi of Portland: High weirdness in Nirvana
When we lived in Colorado, people used to refer to Boulder as the Republic of… I tried to tell them that Boulder was tame compared to the Pacific NW - Portland and Eugene in particular. Since most of those people related more with James Dobson and George Bush, they really didn’t care about my free spirited roots.
That’s OK, I’m home now and I can live in open-minded peace.
Too bad the above article didn’t mention some of the non-weird treasures of PDX.
